Really wonderful time spent at 66 Cala Llonga. We enjoyed the three weeks that we spent at the villa.
Eve our daughter has cerebral palsy and the layout of the villa was great. She could wheel around -and the showers made keeping her clean much easier.
Really peaceful area and even found time for some art!
We all had a lovely time in the pool and looking for the duck each morning.
Would recommend the quarry “Lithica” just outside Ciutadella – bit of a push with the wheelchair, but well worth it for the wow factor.
Es Festuc restaurant in Alaior for lunch menu of the day at 13 euros each – stunning simple food cooked really well.
Ciutadella was wonderful to visit – Yes did succumb to Caldereta de Llagosta.
We will be back.
Thank you, Peter, Hilary, Tom and Alice
Thank you so much for letting us stay in your lovely villa, for 12 fabulous days. The villa itself is very clean and comfortable and felt like home from home, with all the comforts and necessities we needed for our stay. Although the villa is situated around many other villas, we were surprised at how quiet and peaceful it was. Mathew has Multiple Sclerosis and is wheelchair bound, so the accessibility around the villa was great for him. He suffers with balance problems, muscle stiffness and tremors in his hands and neck, so we found the Etac chair to be extremely useful. We also managed to get him into the pool a couple of times, Mathew enjoyed the experience despite the water being a bit chilly! We also enjoyed looking for the duck, who we have named “Larry”. The welcome pack was amazing and was handy as we arrived quite late in the night and did not have time to shop. Our visit here rekindled the Spanish that Mathew learnt at school, and he says he is going back to London feeling relaxed and rejuvenated with plans to start some sort of hobby. We visited Punta Prima which was lovely, Mahon Port was also nice to visit with a variety of restaurants to choose from. We managed to visit Menorca Zoo, the snakes were a hit with the menfolk! We have all felt very relaxed here after a well-deserved break, returning to London feeling refreshed! Although, we’re not looking forward to going back to all the hustle and bustle! We will definitely come back again, we have already recommended it to a friend who has a disabled daughter. Thank you and God Bless
I stayed here between Friday 7th September- Friday 14th September, I am a c4/c5/c6 spinal injured tetraplegic. The villa is perfectly suitable for a wheelchair user. It was amazing to be able to access the pool so easily considering my physical dependencies. Local taxi services were wheelchair accessible and neighbours always said hello! Peter and his management company were helpful throughout my stay and ensured I had everything I needed. Thank you for an amazing experience!
We had a great time in this villa. It is spacious, very well appointed and comfortable. I would describe the beds as firm. The best bits for us were the accessible shower rooms, the shower chairs, the ramp into the pool, the washing machine and the fabulous welcome pack, which should help you settle in whatever time you arrive.
The owners kindly made swim noodles available for us to help our son’s buoyancy and all sort of games were played with them in the pool. There is plenty of fridge and freezer space for self-catering, and a generous amount of kitchen equipment. crockery and plastics/glassware. Bone china mugs and plenty of wine glasses were a real bonus. The management company are responsive with advice or queries. The beds were made up as requested and the villa was super clean. For us the pool was too cold in May, but the weather was a bit cooler and wetter than usual. We did have fun in the pool but for only very short periods of time. We didn’t need the air-conditioning for the weather, but it came in handy one night when one of our children had a very high fever, so we know it works in at least one-bedroom 😊
Menorca is green and pretty in May. Despite the topography, it is surprisingly accessible. The towns have ramps and slopes to bypass steps, we found beaches with beach wheelchairs and decent accessible toilets too. We discovered these using holidaymobilityscootersmenorca.com.
The equestrian show gave wheelchair users a good view. Plenty of restaurants and harbour walks are accessible too. Another time we would really like to discover the coastal path and see if any parts of it can be explored with a wheelchair
What a fabulous week we’ve had staying in this spacious, well-equipped villa. It has all the home comforts required for a relaxing stay. The pool is gorgeous, our son has spent most of the week in it from early in the morning to late at night. We have enjoyed visiting Punta Prima where there are some lovely restaurants, and it’s only about 20 minutes or so away. Beaches are beautiful, and the sea is extremely warm. Thank you so much for allowing us to share your picturesque villa and we hope to be back to some point!
We wanted to write to say a huge thank you for our recent stay in your beautiful villa.
The villa was clean, well stocked with utensils and lovely comfy beds.
The children loved swimming in the pool.
It really was a fantastic week.
Thanks again.
Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful Menorcan villa. We have had the most amazing and
relaxing time!
The weather has been incredible, and it has been lovely floating around in the bath-like pool!
Location is peaceful with a fast access to the bustling port.
We hope to be back soon! xx
Thank you so much for sharing your lovely villa with us. The accessibility at home and around the island has allowed us all to enjoy a holiday that includes three generations.
The pool being the main feature for us... wonderful for Steve who hasn't been able to use our local hydro for eighteen months due to Covid.
Having already recommended the villa to our friends, we hope to visit again ourselves in the future.
Many thanks.
Dear Peter,
Just wanted to get in touch following our return from your splendid villa. I have left a review in the Guest Book but thought I’d email anyway in addition and let you know what a brilliant week we had in Cala Llonga.
I am now really glad that you were so positive when I was having second thoughts about our holiday in the light of the Coronavirus situation : we’d have missed a glorious week of sunshine and relaxation after two years of curtailment for everyone and especially after having to “shield” for many months. Just the change of scene we all needed.
The adapted layout worked so well for us – plenty of privacy for a group and Dominic (and halfway through the week his friend, Scott) able to circulate effortlessly inside as well as around the beautiful pool area. It was wonderful to have the 2 wet rooms and pool and shower chairs provided – I hadn’t taken in how much space we were going to enjoy and having the equipment in situ made life SO much easier. The pool was really our highlight – we were all in every day but for Dominic that would have been impossible without that superb ramp access and the chair that worked really smoothly. We were so comfortable in every respect and the week went far too quickly … we could all have enjoyed a second one! Hopefully we shall be able to return again before too long and do just that.
Thanks again and all best wishes to you and to your family,
Moira Doran
We had a wonderful stay.
The house was perfectly adapted for my husband who has Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) and is in a wheelchair.
Shower rooms, bed and pool ramp exceptional. Everything works so efficiently.
It was amazing to get my husband in a pool for the first time in 4 years.
